Camberwell CAN Meeting

On the Right Track

Last year Camberwell was overlooked as the preferred site for the proposed Bakerlook line extensions, which will now run to Lewisham along the Old Kent Road. Although this was a blow to Camberwellians all may not be lost...

Some of you may have heard rumblings and rumours that a campaign is forming that is calling for the reopening of Camberwell railway station. Well, with local support growing, as well as backing from Southwark's leader Peter John, Camberwel may well be getting the transport links it deserves!

But there is still a lot of work to be done.

At the meeting we will be running a taster session to highlight effective campaigning techniques with a focus on the campaign to get the station reopened. Come along if you want to get involved or find out more about effective campaigning!

We will also be discussing the New Southwark Plan and what it means for Camberwell...

The second half the meeting will provide attendees with a platform to discuss any issues that you might want to raise, as well as providing the opportunity for you to share any news and information that is relevant to Camberwell
