Peckham Town Centre Cleanup!

Local people working to clean up Peckham town centre are hosting a public event on Rye Lane next week – and everyone is invited.

The Cleaner Peckham Project (CPP) is a partnership between Peckham Vision, Rye Lane Traders’ Association and Copeland Park. They received a small grant from Southwark Council to fund research into waste management in Peckham.

The drop-in event will see CPP launch their report into how to create an effective system for managing waste, litter and recycling in Peckham. It’s for everyone who uses Peckham town centre, including shoppers, bus and train travellers, residents, businesspeople, traders and visitors.

The event will take place on Tuesday July 19 in the Connexions Centre at 128 Rye Lane (opposite Parkstone Road), which houses charity Umbrella From Woman To Woman. There will be a drop-in exhibition from 3-8pm followed by a meeting and discussion from 6.30-7.30pm.
