Walworth CAN Meeting

Community Growing Network: Food for Thought

A number of local groups are aware of just how much demand there is for community growing in the Walworth area because of the wide range of benefits that it offers. There have been some fabulous projects already but, to date, there has been little support available for people who would like to start a growing project in terms of advice on how to go about it and help to get going.

As a result, some initial work has begun on putting together a bid that would provide funding and support for groups to get started with community growing projects. We would like to discuss ideas about the bid at this meeting and make sure that any bid really reflects what is most needed in the Walworth area.

Walorth Garden Farm leads the way in community food growing

What do we need from a community growing network? How will it support what is already happening and, most importantly, how will it benefit Walworth residents?

Help us answer these questions and find out more about the project.

The second half the meeting will provide attendees with a platform to discuss any issues that you might want to raise, as well as providing the opportunity for you to share any news and information that is relevant to Walworth.
