Camberwell needs your help- Camberwell Banners have begun a crowdfunding campaign to put some more soul into Camberwell!
The Camberwell Banner project install inspiring banners promoting Camberwell from Denmark Hill to Camberwell Green.
The project will "bring people together to create a brighter high street, more business for local traders and a Camberwell for everyone to be proud of"
If the campaign receives 150 pledgers by 18 June, the Mayor of London will matchfund the final amount!
You can pledge as little as £2 but we need to show how much local support we have for this project to the Mayor in order to receive more funding.
All supporters will receive a free Travel Guide to Camberwell 2019!
Local community group SE5 Forum for Camberwell have teamed up with Camberwell Arts Festival and Camberwell Society to create a range of community design projects to boost Camberwell’s identity and revitalise the high street!
Camberwell Banners is one of a range of design projects planned to brand Camberwell.
The project includes:
Floor vinyl and maps around Denmark Hill station to signpost people to King’s College Hospital, Maudsley Hospital, and also routes down into Camberwell to all the shops, cafes, restaurants, and everything the neighbourhood has to offer!

More to come!
All the banners will be designed by a local design agency and with input from community workshops and public consultations.
Please forward and spread the word to anyone local who might like to support.
