Camberwell CAN Meeting

A New Vision for Camberwell

The SE5 Forum for Camberwell is preparing a New Vision for Camberwell to update the vision that it prepared and adopted in 2010/11.  It is intended that this New Vision for Camberwell will shape and direct the SE5 Forum for Camberwell’s work over the next five or so years;  provide useful input into the emerging New Southwark Plan, especially its vision for Camberwell, and the review of the Lambeth Local Plan and other borough strategies and plans.

Finally it will help Camberwell community groups and people see how what they are doing could feed into a wider agenda for a better Camberwell.  They are focusing the New Vision on those things that they think make Camberwell distinctive, particularly the arts and creative industries, the health sector and institutions and Camberwell’s history, heritage and built form, but they are very clear that they want to see improvements to Camberwell that are coupled with the improvements to employment and housing that will allow Camberwell people to remain living in their area.

The first half of this meeting will provide you with a chance to contribute your thoughts and feelings about Camberwell to the Vision, and find out what it might mean for the area.

The second half will provide attendees with a platform to discuss anything Camberwell related, as well as providing the opportunity for you to share any news and information that is relevant to the area.
