Last week British Land submitted their outline planning application for their Canada Water Masterplan and this has now been validated by Southwark Council.
This application includes detailed plans for the project’s first three buildings (A1, A2 and K1).
So what does this mean? Well the clock is ticking! The statutory consultation period has now started and you now have unil the 20th of July to submit your formal comments on the plan.
You can take a look at the planning application by accessing Southwark council’s planning registry here and entering the case number for the application: 18/AP/1604.
Be prepared for a lot of documents!
In order to help you navigate an often complicated process Community Southwark, in partnership with Southwark Law Centre (SLC), thought it would be a good idea to organise a workshop to help guide you through how to respond to the application.
We will be Joined by Esther Drabkin-Reiter, SLC’s Planning Caseworker, who will be able to provide expert legal insight into the planning process.
What will be covered:
Key aspects/documents of plan
How to respond to the application
What Southwark Council must take into account
Key areas to focus on
General hints and tips
We look forward to seeing you on the 20th!
On a final note we have made sure that it doesn’t clash with any of England’s World Cup matches so no excuse not to come!
