EWNF Policy Writing Workshop

It's policy time...

Members of the Elephant and Walworth Neighbourhood Forum (EWNF) have spent the last few years very hard at work. We've engaged with hundreds of residents about what you want the future to look like in the Elephant and Walworth and have managed to get a neighbourhood area formally designated by the council.

Now for the main event... We need to start writing planning policies that will reflect those wishes!

The great man himself...

We are hosting a special meeting of the EWNF where we will receive some expert guidance on policy writing from Tony Burton, the mastermind behind neighbourhoodplanners.london and planning expert.

This workshop will:
  • explain what a neighbourhood plan can and can't do
  • show how neighbourhood planning fits in with the London Plan, Southwark Local Plan and other planning powers
  • explore the emerging topics and how they can be addressed in a neighbourhood plan
  • offer a way forward for the Topic Working Groups to develop the next stage

If you live or work in the area we would love for you to come along and find out more about how you can contribute!

Please RSVP below - the more the merrier!
